RoboLawyer
Unregulated service disclaimer
This website and the software platform RoboLawyer® is operated by RoboLawyer LTD, a company incorporated in England and Wales (no. 15024103) with its registered office at 22 Groveside Court, London SW11 3RQ ('we', 'our', 'us'). This disclaimer was last updated on 12 November 2024.
We are unregulated. The primary purpose of our software is to provide guidance and help you manage the legal process when it comes to carrying out transactional, non-contentious legal work yourself. Although we may employ solicitors from time to time, we are not a law firm and we are not regulated by the Solicitors' Regulation Authority (SRA) or any other supervisory authority. We do not carry on any 'reserved legal services' and so there is no obligation for us to offer any of our services as a regulated entity. As a result of us being unregulated, you will not be entitled to complain to the SRA or the Legal Ombudsman about our services.
Professional indemnity insurance. As an unregulated entity we are not subject to the SRA's Minimum Terms and Conditions of Professional Indemnity Insurance and you should be aware that you would not be eligible to apply for a grant from the Solicitors' Compensation Fund which is provided by the Law Society in the event you were to make a claim against us. However, we do hold our own professional indemnity insurance relating to the services and products we offer and details of this are available upon request.
No legal, tax or financial advice. Our platform exists to empower startups and small business users to carry out routine legal work themselves. As a result, you are solely responsible for determining the appropriateness of the documentation and guidance received through your use of our products and accept that your use in no way constitutes legal, tax or financial advice. If you require this, we recommend that you engage a lawyer to consider the facts of the matter in question so that they can advise you accordingly. Although we may employ solicitors or other regulated individuals from time to time, and you may speak with them from time to time, you accept and agree that this will not under any circumstances constitute a lawyer/client relationship or legal advice.
No warranties. We provide no warranty, guarantee, indemnity, representation or otherwise take responsibility for any loss you may suffer in relation to your use of this website or our products.
Full terms of service on signing up. We will ask you to review and agree to our full terms of service when you are given access to the platform.
