More about this matter.
Although they are referred to as 'standard terms of business' this really means that each of your customers is given the same terms. When preparing them, they are usually anything but standard because they need to reflect the way YOU run YOUR business. Our matter helps you determine exactly what provisions need to be included.
For certain types of business, such as consultancies or agencies, the specific work that will be carried out needs to be annexed to the standard terms. This is usually done as a 'statement of work' which often written in a more accessible letter-based format, but incorporates your standard terms. Our matter automatically determines whether your business requires a statement of work and includes it at no extra cost.
Our matter includes a customised guidance note that gives you specific information about how you should use your terms of business (and if required, statement of work), as well as what to do if things go wrong (for example, how and when you might want to initiate a small claim for non-payment of an invoice).
